City of Waycross

Located in the City of Waycross, Okefenokee Technical College and Waycross College are both two-year public technical schools – with the Okefenokee Technical College managed by the State of Georgia's Department of Technical and Adult Education, and Waycross College managed by the Univerrsity System of Georgia.

According to 2000 Census, the City of Waycross had a population of 15,333 persons. Between 1990 and 2000, the city experienced a population decrease of -6.6%, compared to the state growth during this period of 26.4%.
